Hubby got me an antique shelf for my kitchen for Christmas (he loves me!). I line trays and bowls with Veggie Fresh produce bags (they absorb ethylene, the gas that causes fruit and veggies to ripen and then rot) and put my groceries out on it. Most fruit keeps for about a week. Keeping my produce out in the open encourages me to use it instead of having it rot in the refrigerator drawer. This helps me to get my veggies in!
